Resource control: power, rate, and carrier sense threshold control

Resource control is fundamental to addressing scalability and capacity problems in large- scale wireless ad hoc and sensor networks. Wireless multi-hop networks such as ad hoc and sensor networks will allow network nodes to control the communication topology by choosing their transmitting rate, power. and/or sensing ranges. Briefly, resource control is the art of coordinating nodes decisions regarding their transmitting resources, to generate a network with the desired features.
